LastPass Customer Review
Overall Rating
Love LastPass. Having the option to create secure passwords via the app, as well as filling forms for you is amazing. I also like that it monitors your passwords to let you know if it isn't secure enough or if too many of your accounts use the same pw. Just make sure that you remember your master pw.

LastPass' customer support is ok. They have a solid support center where you are able to find resources to get answers to most questions that you have. The portal is very user friendly as you can click on modules that will lead you to the right articles and resources you need, or you can manually search for what you are looking for.
Unfortunately, LastPass doesn't have great live support as there is no option for live chat and you can only get phone support if you are an Enterprise admin. While you can contact support via email after viewing an article, you won't receive immediate attention unless you have a paid account and the attention you receive is tiered based off of your subscription.
While LastPass does offer users a good support center to find answers to the most popular questions, their lack of live chat/phone support and setting priority to only the higher paid subscriptions, makes them average at customer support.

From my experience, LastPass is a very secure password management system.
First off, LastPass uses TLS encryption to transfer data from your device to the servers, to makes sure that the data can't be intercepted. As well, they use AES encryption with a 256-bit key for the data stored on their servers. LastPass also uses PBKDF2-SHA256 to hash your master password, which significantly slows down brute-force attacks. Finally, all of your data is encrypted on LastPass servers, so no one can see it, but you.
You can enable 2-factor authentication, where a code is sent to your mobile device so that you can authenticate that the device you are trying to login on is yours. As well, on mobile, LastPass does have fingerprint recognition enabled, which makes the process of logging in, a lot quicker and safer.

LastPass' autocomplete is easy to use and makes life a whole lot easier. I know that many of us have a lot of different passwords and it can be hard to remember them all, but with LastPass you can login to all your favorite sites without having to worry about forgetting your password. As well, LastPass is available on all available browsers and can be used on mobile, and the autofill functions across all platforms is great. If you don't like autofill, you can also turn that off under your account settings.

LastPass is great because your passwords are synced across all devices. In addition, LastPass automatically syncs your passwords so that you have easy access to all of them, across all platforms and devices.
If you don't see your passwords syncing, you can also force a manual sync:
- Go to More Options > Advanced > Refresh Sites to force a sync of your Vault data.
- Go to Account Options > Advanced > Refresh Sites to force a sync of your Vault data.

LastPass has a sharing center where you can share passwords with other users. In your sharing center you can decide which passwords you want to share. To do so, use the edit icon to view the password and then select the share icon to select users to share. You can also use the reject icon if you want to remove that person from that shared password. One thing of note, is that because of LastPass secure encryption, in order to share passwords, the other user needs to be on LastPass as well.

LastPass makes sure that your connection is encrypted with TLS. Your passwords are for your eyes only and not even the staff has access to it.
However, LastPass does have some data sharing policies that you need to be aware of:
- Usage data is collected including IP addresses, location information, language settings, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
- "We may receive information about you from other sources, including publicly available databases or third parties from whom we have purchased data."
- Data may be used to "Market services of our third-party business partners".

LastsPass is great because in all of their plans, they offer unlimited storage of passwords in your vault. In today's day and age this is incredible because I know that I have a lot of different passwords to keep track of, and knowing that I can store them all in one secure vault, puts me at ease.
